Finite and Infinite

Within Led Pulse’s installation opposites are at constant play. The digital and the real, combined together, birth a one-ofa-kind immersive environment which is to be equally experienced by one’s individual and collective sphere. Led Pulse’s patented Neuronal LED technology determines a space to be lived in by the audience and that, in return, lives a life of its own. It simultaneously stands as a stage ready to host musicians and performers daily as part of Opposites United, and as a self-sufficient creature: a cyborg, a digital and mechanical dragon. Within the space imagined by Led Pulse, the identity of the individual is mirrored and multiplied in an infinite, complex and powerful kaleidoscope, where the boundary between the utopias of technology and the pragmatism of everyday life vanishes, becoming one.

Led Pulse

Led Pulse is a multinational collective founded in 2012, and it has since been pushing forward the boundaries of the way LED can establish a new common language merging art and sensory experiences. Hardwares, softwares and contents:every single part of every installation are specifically designed, offering a unique experience capable of merging technology with wonderment. Through the creation of volumetric LED experiences, they have brought to life The DragonO Universe, a project so significant that it is considered an integral part of the team. A constantly evolving format that develops collectively through the Led Pulse collective mind, an experiment in digital evolution.

*** Performances Mirroring the tensions at play within NeonLab, the performances spark reflections about the dualism unfolding between the individual and the collective. Artistic practices rooted in analog, folkloristic, popular and classical realms espouse visions anew which find application in the digital dimension of both Led Pulse’s work and of the instruments adopted. Human expression and technological advancement, united as one, now forge new frontiers of imagination and exploration.***

CTM

Danish cellist, singer and composer CTM (Cæcilie Trier Musik) bridges tradition with modernity, constantly redefining the role of the cello in contemporary music and performance. LedPulse’s stage hence becomes the ground in which the two tensions defining the artist’s research can overcome their opposing natures. Hailing from the prolific and collaborative Mayhem Scene in Copenhagen, CTM has engaged artistically with several and diverse projects, including Choir of Young Believers, Marching Church, vocal group Valby Vokalgruppe and theatre ensemble CAAST.

Percussionists of Teatro La Scala

Founded in 1978 under the initiative of former La Scala orchestra director Claudio Abbado, I Percussionisti della Scala represent one of the most acclaimed and trailblazing ensembles of percussionists in the world. Fusing classical music with contemporary rhythms, they continue to push the boundaries of percussion artistry. The tradition of Teatro alla Scala, to be intended as an individual macro-body, meets with collectivity mirroring the dual nature of NeonLab; a contrast further enhanced by the performance’s striking fusion of musical identities.

JIM C. NEED

Artist Jim C Nedd moves between the realms of fiction and documentary photography, finding harmony in the clash between the sensuousness of human bodies and nature and the increasingly urbanised lifeworld. Having grown up listening to the sonic and oral traditions of Vallenato music, a Caribbean folkloristic genre from Colombia, Nedd’s artistic practice also grew to touch upon music. His performance with Hansel Castro and Carlos Russo will see Nedd's emphasis on the collective and natural sphere unfold within a digital space where the ideas of individual and collective are being constantly questioned.
