The Cave

That specific characteristic of humanity involving the use of symbols to create contexts and convey meanings beyond mere utility is defined as Art. This particular domain of knowledge is shaped and evolves through the continuous pursuit of the new, the undiscovered and the mysterious. It reflects an impulse rooted in the indefinable and relentless tension of our species: a drive toward the unknown that compels us to undertake the endeavor of discovery as the ultimate act through which we define ourselves. It is precisely through this destiny that relentless innovators create works that lead us into the cavern of the unknown using tools related to the contemporary imagination.

The Cave integrates primal and technological elements to explore humanity’s creative drive. Machines rise and fall through still liquid, evoking fleeting dreams. Using ancient instruments like bird-bone flutes and conch horns, they create an ethereal soundscape. Bathed in crimson light, their silhouettes blur presence and absence, reflecting on ephemeral beauty. Referencing Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, the work explores time as a medium, collapsing past and future into a single, eternal moment. This work questions the fate of human creativity in the face of existential risks. As AI evolves and the universe fades, what remains of meaning? Is time real or just an illusion shaped by human perception?
