OPPOSITES UNITED

Opposites United is Kia’s design philosophy. It is a system of values that underlies every project, precedes every initiative, and guides the development of every action. To unite opposites doesn’t mean finding the positive in the negative or vice versa, but rather identifying that “zero degree”, that equilibrium where opposites or contradictions coexist in a state of calm, allowing us to distill unexpected thoughts and experiences. Opposites United is a vision for our future, and like every bold vision, it requires bold actions: to relentlessly innovate; to take courageous risks to disrupt the status quo; and to be the vanguard for new creative culture.

As Opposites United grows year after year, it establishes itself as a vibrant hub, bringing together artists, philosophers, designers, thinkers, and others to collaboratively and globally develop innovative ways to express our understanding of the world and inspire fresh per- spectives.
